Major Achievements

  1. Accreditation of Institute and Certification of Faculty Members 

Institute has been accredited with  A Category CTI by C-PEC, BIRD Lucknow from April 2020 to March 2023. Principal and 4 Faculty members have passed the Certified Trainers in Financial Cooperatives (CTFC) Course run by C-PEC BIRD, Lucknow and  are certified by C-PEC (BIRD) Lucknow.

  1. Best Performing ACSTI:

ACSTI Jalandhar has been regularly winning award as the best performing CTI. This national level award is adjudged and given by  NAFSCOB, Mumbai

  1. Outstation Programmes

Keeping in view operational problems of DCCBs , institute conducts some outstation programmes at head quarters of the DCCBs. This approach has an advantage of disseminating information to all the officers of same bank at one place regarding the new policies and to plan jointly for the development of bank. For Managing Directors and District Managers of the CCBs and PSCB Annual conferences on Performance of Cooperative Banks is  conducted  as a regular feature now.

  1. Profit Centres

On the recommendations of ACSTI, all branches of CCBs and PSCB have been declared as PROFIT CENTRES and we are providing required consultancy to these banks in this regard. The management of the banks have adopted this approach. This training institute has designed training programmes to train all the branch managers of the cooperative banks in Branch Planning so that each branch manager can develop his branch as profit centre.

  1. Double Entry System in PACSs

The institute has prepared detailed guidelines and operational manual for the double entry system of book-keeping in Primary Agricultural Cooperative Service Societies (PACS). The double entry system of book-keeping has been successfully implemented in all the PACS of Punjab.

  1. Performance Budgeting

On the recommendation of institute, Performance Budgeting in PACS and CCBs have been started from 01.04.2002. The institute has designed detailed scheme, proforma and guidelines for this purpose. This was highly appreciated by Registrar Cooperative Societies. To help field functionaries in implementing performance budgeting, institute conducts various field programmes at district level.

  1. Performance Analysis of DCCBs

Every year a conference of DCCBs District Managers is conducted to analysis their performance and to examine their future strategies.

  1. Product Development

Institute is actively engaged in development of new product lines for the banks. It has developed new loan schemes such as Loan Against Rental Income , Earnest Money Loan Scheme, which have been adopted by the District Central Cooperative Banks and Punjab State Cooperative Bank in Punjab.

  1. Faculty Development

Most important asset of training institute is competent and committed faculty. Therefore faculty development is the most important area of concern for the institute. Institute has adopted the following system for its faculty development

  1. Every faculty member has to attend training programmes at national level institutes such as NIBM , BIRD ,VAMNICOM , IIM etc.
  2. Laptop and Internet facility has been provided to each faculty member in his office.
  3. Research and Development

ACSTI has been involved in conducting research work by providing guidance to the researchers/ students of various educational institutes. After examination and review , findings and results of research work are  kept in mind for product innovation, designing training modules and overall development of the Short term credit structure.

  1. Conducting Examination

 At the end of each Induction Training Programme, ACSTI conducts written examination of participants/ new appointees in accordance to guidelines of  RCSs Punjab and service rules of CDEOs and PACSs functionaries.
